“Children's Book Reading by Almira Gilles on Sat 6/11”

Almira Astudillo Gilles, an award-winning author of children's literature, will read her picture book, "Willie Wins," to be followed by an interactive presentation about the story, including a show-and-tell about coconuts, riddles, word search, and giveaways.  Since the book is also about baseball, children will make their own sports or friendship cards.  If there is time, she will also read some of her poems for children.
CIRCA Pintig presents a short skit "Who was Jose Rizal" and classic Philippines folktales and fruits.
